Tyler Naquin - Head Hitting Instructor

Tyler Naquin began his baseball journey at Texas A&M University, where he excelled as a standout player for the Aggies. In 2012, Naquin earned Big 12 Conference Player of the Year honors and was named a First-Team All-American. His exceptional junior season, which included a .380 batting average, helped propel the Aggies to the NCAA Super Regionals.

Following his collegiate success, Naquin was selected in the first round (15th overall) of the 2012 MLB Draft by the Cleveland Indians. He made his MLB debut in 2016 and had a remarkable rookie season, batting .296 with 14 home runs and 43 RBIs. His performance earned him a third-place finish in the AL Rookie of the Year voting, and he was a key contributor to the Indians’ postseason run, which culminated in a dramatic 2016 World Series appearance.

In 2021, Naquin enjoyed one of his best seasons as a member of the Cincinnati Reds, hitting 19 home runs and driving in 70 RBIs.
